The Queensland Government has announced the introduction of 5 star energy rating requirements for all new residential houses as from 1st March. How is this going to work? Where can I find out more? The base level requirements for energy efficiency in buildings is continuing to increase. So how can we construct buildings now that can go beyond the basic level without incurring major cost?
Where are the future improvements going to be made in building fabric and services? Early consideration of the energy equation in building design is a critical success factor in achieving high energy efficiency without the cost blow out that is normally attributed to energy efficiency. The comfort levels for the occupants is also a big winning in such designs.
